Married At First Sight Recap Episode 4

Welcome aboard for another MAFS recap! Let's get it started.

Tonight, we see the return of the infamous MAFS honesty box, ready to stir some uncomfortable truths.

First, let's catch up with our newly married couples enjoying their honeymoons.

Tristan and Cass are having brunch and enjoying each other's company. Tristan is hungering for some affection from his wife, Cass. Tristan asks for a kiss after dinner. Cass replies, 'That will be nice' (that is such a strange thing to ask). Tristan is certainly not a smooth operator.

The honesty box rears its ugly head first with Tori and Jack. We learn Jack 'demands respect in a relationship', obviously to coddle his fragile masculinity. The couple discuss physical attraction, and Tori admits Jack is her cookie-cutter type, and she is very attracted to him. Jack is a bad cookie. He might smell good, but he is stale on the inside.

Jack lets Tori know he does not want to get it on with her and says he has had bigger sexual sparks in the past but hopes their chemistry can grow. What a lovely thing to hear from your husband.

Jack sets a deadline of 6 weeks, then he will start showing her what a 'fierce and passionate lover he is'. I hope the sex is worth it, Tori. Jack feels Tori is more submissive and sweet than she lets on in her vows. He does not feel challenged by her.

Let us check in on Collins and Natalie. Natalie finds strange ways to amuse herself, and Collins builds a pillow wall to block out her big nerd energy. This couple is doomed, and they are not getting any airtime.

Eden opens up to Jayden about her past of being cheated on by her bestie and BF. Jayden responds by letting her know he will reassure her and earn her trust. This man melts my heart when he tells Eden, ' You are everything I want'.

Timothy and Lucinda, one of our oddest pairings, enjoy a live drawing class. Timothy is impressed by Lucinda hyping up the nude model. They go for lunch afterwards.

Timothy and Lucinda are the next victims of the honesty box. We learn that Lucinda is a tantra queen who holds tantra healing classes (Lucinda, if you start a cult, I will join). As expected, Timothy is a vanilla ice cream man in the bedroom, and he is more than likely a jackhammer.

Regarding attraction, Lucinda tells Timothy she finds him 'yummy' and wants to be close to him. On the other hand, Timothy does not feel the sexual attraction yet. Lucinda is such a sweetie and lets him know she will be patient. Timothy feels shit and thinks he is not good enough to be paired with Lucinda. My heart is breaking!

There was only one wedding tonight: Ellie (Nurse, 32) and Ben (Tour guide, Podcaster, 39).

The couple is matched because they both love to travel, want that home with the ol' white picket fence and to have some kiddies. The pair have a gorgeous beach wedding and bond over their love of travel.

Ellie was left by her partner of 6 years a month before the wedding. Despite this, Ellie is still a romantic who believes in love. Ellie's partner in crime is cousin Jordan, who is the storm cloud to her sunshine. Jordan is weirdly protective of her for some reason.

Trouble brews during the reception when Jordan interrogates Ben after discovering he is a part-time podcaster. Ben digs himself deeper when he reveals he doesn't have many subscribers. Jordan asks Ben, " Are you here for love or fame? " but Ben fails to give a clear answer. He says it's an adventure, and fame/self-promotion would be a silver lining if things do not work out in the love department.

Jordan is unsatisfied with Ben's answer and runs away to dob to Ellie like a child. You'd better send home the rest of the MAFS cast, too, Jordan, because I am pretty sure they are also there for fame.

The episode ends with Ellie seeing amber flags and unsure whether to trust Ben's intentions.

Well, that's all I have for you. The final two weddings will be broadcast on Sunday at 7 p.m. on Channel 9.
