Married At First Sight Episode Recap: Confessions Week

Confessions Week is here; buckle up and enjoy the rollercoaster of emotions you will feel this week on MAFS.

This week, the couples face questionable tasks such as ranking based on physical attractiveness, going through their partner's phone and revealing secrets.

Jayden and Eden

Jayden and Eden have been cruising through the experiment so far. However, they faced a bump this week during the letter-writing task. Jayden reveals he made his ex watch him having sex with her best friend as revenge for her being unfaithful. Jayden does not regret his behaviour, which unnerves Eden. Eden is majorly triggered because her boyfriend and best friend cheated. This almost felt staged, but Eden's red face and upset expression changed my mind.

Eden asks Sara for advice, and they both agree it's a red flag moment. Golden boy Jayden, your reputation has tanked this week. The couple come back together, and Jayden apologises to Eden. Eden is still wary that Jayden seems very reactive and has a bit of a temper, and Jayden promises to work on it. Jayden, you are still in the dog house, mate.

Jack and Tori

Tori still thinks they are the best match in the experiment. Jack and Tori are tasked with the photo ranking challenge. Jack eggs on Tori a bit, asking her to convince him that she is the hottest wife in the experiment. Tori talks about her fake big boobs, veneers, botox injected face and lip fillers make her the most attractive wifey. Jack puts her first in the ranking challenge, which is smart, or else she might have ripped him a new one.

Tori is tasked with going through Jack's phone, and she is shocked when she finds a picture of Jack proposing to an ex. I honestly thought Jack's phone would be full of porn and shirtless selfies. I digress. You should be able to keep photos of your ex if it is just a memory. The couple make up. Let's hope this opens Tori's eyes to her man a little.

Richard and Andrea

Richard and Andrea are all lovey-dovey until Richard makes the mistake of ranking his wife 3rd in the physical ranking challenge. In my opinion, the ranking challenge is really about intelligence; if you do not put your partner first, you are screwed.

Richard realises he is in deep shit and justifies that he was treating it as if they did not know each other. I hope Richard and Andrea make up, or we will never get to see Richard dancing again.

Timothy and Lucinda

Timothy and Lucinda have had a rocky week since moving in. Timothy is not really vibing with Lucinda's tantric healing and sex obsession; it's putting him off. Whereas Lucinda feels Timothy is too busy watching Formula One and is not trying in the romance or affection department.

The couple handle the challenges well, except Timothy throws a little tantrum during the ranking challenge. Timothy is just insecure about being a 'dirty old man', and the challenge is a little ageist, I suppose.

Cass and Tristan

The Will They or Won't They Kiss storyline is getting boring. During the letter-writing challenge, Tristan revealed that he was a former fatty, which made him a victim of bullying in school. Basically, he is afraid to be the instigator of a kiss because girls rejected him in the past. Cass thanks him for opening up and can understand why he is such a man-child.

The couple eventually share a peck, but it is awkward because the man immediately announces it to the camera and does a victory dance. Cringe, this man gives me the ick. I feel sorry for Cass.

Men should be instigators of physical touch and affection, or romance will not work. As women, we want to feel we are being desired to feel attractive. Tristan, don't break off the moment so quickly when you next kiss Cass (if you get the chance).

Natalie and Collins

Natalie is back, but I have mixed emotions about her being back with human trash (Collins). Collins pretends he is going to try, but this dude is clearly faking his feelings for his girl. They stay in separate rooms, too, so they do not stand a chance.

During the ranking challenge, Collins shows how oblivious he is by not remembering a single bride's name. He also places Natalie first, which she even knows is a lie. Follow your instinct, Nat; this man is so fake he's just trying to say what you want to hear.
