Get ready for some drama served piping hot on the very first MAFs dinner party.
On this episode, we'll witness a couple whose marriage takes a sour turn and a groom who's facing rumours about having a girlfriend on the outside.
Collins and Natalie are still struggling to find a spark on the honeymoon. Collins is not that into you, Natalie. Collins's idea of romance is off-roading and going fishing. Collins tries to go into executive assistant mode and pretend everything is fine, which upsets Natalie even more.
A scandal spreads about kinky man Jack, who broke up with his girlfriend only seven weeks before the experiment began. The kicker is that Jack lied that he was going to America for a work opportunity when, in fact, he was going on MAFS (probably to help launch his OnlyFans). We cannot have MAFs season without a groom possibly hiding an ex on the outside.
Jack lets us know the relationship was never 'serious' for him even though he met her parents and they had plans to live together. I will follow Lucinda's lead and get a scroll of my own to help keep track of Jack's red flags.
All the couples arrive at the dinner party with the scandal in mind. Lauren is ready to light Jack's ass on fire after hearing the gossip. Jack chats to grooms about his 'crazy ex'. Jack, that's a no-no; we don't call women crazy anymore. Jayden and Jonathan are not convinced by Jack's suss story.
Everyone is getting along except Collins and Natalie. Natalie runs over to the champagne glasses to drown her sorrows, while Collins rizzes the brides and avoids Natalie like the plague.
Collins annoys me, he ignores his wife's distress and pretends to the group that their relationship is fine.
With tears in her eyes, Natalie confesses to Cassandra and Lucinda that the couple is struggling in the romance department.
The dinner party bell rings, and Collins and Natalie pull a Houdini and leave the room. Collins tells Natalie off for being sour, and they then return to the dinner table.
Collins, I wonder why your wife is pissed that you are being dismissive and condescending towards her. My eyes are rolling to the back of my head with how delusional this man is.
Natalie storms off and cries, with Collins trailing behind her. Collins just laughs uncomfortably while she cries, which is very disturbing. The couple agrees to call it quits, and they say goodbye to the group. Lauren notices Collins is pretending to be upset. We all know he doesn't care about Natalie.
Collins gets upset that his 15 minutes of fame is over and gets FOMO over missing the dinner party.
The battle of the man buns begins with Jayden grilling Jack. Jack acts defensive and tells how his ex cannot be trusted with her colourful past. Richard challenges that it was unnecessary to lie about going to the USA to escape the relationship. Jack mansplains to the group it was a very casual but exclusive relationship, which makes no sense. He does the usual alpha asshole thing of blaming the girl, saying, 'She fell harder than me,' and tries to discredit his ex further, saying she went to his workplace and blew up his phone.
Tori is very uncomfortable with all the attention on them and shuts down the rumours. Jack thanks Tori for saving his ass from the grilling.
The drama was so hot. I'll see you next time for another recap.
