A capsule is a wardrobe collection of foundational pieces that create a versatile and cohesive look. It consists of your most essential clothing, which are the building blocks for your wardrobe.
Having a capsule wardrobe can help avoid overconsumption and falling victim to fast fashion, though you can pair your capsule with seasonal items and add trendy pieces to create variety in your outfits.

Jeans are one of the most common clothing pieces we see out and about. The trend with jeans changes all the time. This year, we have seen baggy jeans make a comeback. In the previous year, we saw low-rise jeans become cool again.
Go against jean trends and get a pair of either straight-leg or slightly tapered, mid-rise blue jeans. This cut will always be classic and always stay in style. A well-fitting pair of jeans looks effortless and will always be chic. If you are really into your denim, you can also consider a selvedge pair and/or raw denim, which can add a bit more flair and impress those in the know.
Trench coat
A trench will elevate any outfit you wear. Trenches' timelessness is rooted in military origins as utilitarian pieces used during warfare.
The clean lines, double-breasted front and belted waist create a flattering silhouette that can be dressed up or down, making them suitable for various occasions. You can wear them over a formal dress for a sophisticated look or pair them with jeans and sneakers for a more casual vibe.
Oversized button-up shirt
The oversized button-up shirt draws inspiration from classic menswear. The timeless appeal of men's fashion elements, such as the button-up shirt, contributes to its enduring popularity.
The oversized button-up shirt is versatile and can be styled in numerous ways. For example, they can be worn as dresses, tucked into pants or skirts, layered over tank tops, or buttoned if you want a more relaxed silhouette.
Neutral coloured cardigan
The cardigan is a staple piece that everyone should own. Whether cropped or long, a cardigan is a playful piece that plays with structure and silhouette, depending on which cut you choose. The cardigans are preppy and stylish and help create that old-money aesthetic, which is very popular now.
They often feature open fronts or buttons that can be cinched at the waist with a belt, accentuating the waistline. This design can enhance the wearer's shape and create an elegant look. Try to keep to neutral colours such as white, beige, camel and grey when choosing the colour for your cardigan. When picking material for a cardigan, stick to organic materials such as sheep's wool, cotton, linen, or hemp.
Leather Ankle Boots
Ankle boots are versatile. They are functional and fashionable. You can wear them outdoors, at the office or on a night out— all year round. During the cooler months, a chunky sweater and blue jeans, or in the warmer months, a summer dress with some ankle boots can look so chic.
Many boots offer leather insoles that help support your arches for all-day wear. When looking for ankle boots, look for a good fit and quality materials such as full-grain leather. Do not buy fast fashion boots; instead, treat boots like an investment and buy one built to last. Ankle boots come in different styles, such as Chelsea, lace-up, combat, and heeled boots. Consider your aesthetic and decide which ankle boot style would best suit you. Brands you can consider include RM Williams, Carmina's, Doc Martens and Berluti.
A dress you feel beautiful in
Finally, I want you to invest in yourself and buy a dress which makes you feel confident. My only rule is the dress cannot be a LBD. Challenge yourself to wear some colour. My favourite dress is a Zimmermann white linen dress with purple flowers, small cutouts on the hip and puffed sleeves.
