Finding gifts for Christmas is a tricky task for most of us. Christmas is a time to express gratitude and show thoughtfulness to our loved ones.
When organising Christmas gifts, I first write down a list of people I need to shop for. I then write down an amount I am willing to spend next to each person’s name. Afterwards, I brainstormed some gift ideas and researched online for deals.
I prefer shopping in person to get and test the product, and shopping in-store is a great place to get gift recommendations from staff. This time of year can be hectic and stressful, so here are some suggestions for Christmas gifts for your loved ones.
Mum
I recommend Shopping for your Mum for a product you have fallen in love with yourself. Just make sure the product is age-appropriate and is something that she will use often. Most likely, if the product is viral, it is famous for a reason, and your Mum will like it too. Think of makeup and fashion skincare, which have been trending on TikTok or Instagram. Over the years, I have given my Mum a Chanel Perfume, a Michael Kors Bag, and an Estee Lauder Night Repair Kit.
Dad
I love my Dad, but he is tough to find gifts for. Men, more so than women, are trickier to buy for. Men usually want something that is useful or adds value to their lives. I sometimes struggle to shop for guys, so I recommend you ask your guy friends or partner for some ideas. I think watches, boots, ties, socks, or tech. For my own Dad, I know he loves sentimental gifts, so I try to buy him Décor or Photos.
Brother
I recommend buying your brother practical or comedic gifts. Think of memories you made together or hobbies he wants to do in his spare time. I recommend Cards Against Humanity, Whiskey, Novelty Socks, and Pop Vinyls.
Sister
My sister is very different from me, but most girls all have universally loved products. Some gift ideas I would suggest are Morphe Makeup Brushes, Laneige Lip Mask, Dior Lip Glow and Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wand .
The Girls
Our friends are our chosen family. Some gift ideas I recommend for friends are Pandora, Kikki. K Stationary, Lush products, and Peter Alexander Pjs.
Kids
Christmas is all about the kids. Try to give presents which encourage creativity, play or problem-solving. I have gift ideas: Lego, Uno, Play-Doh, Pictionary and Barbie's.
Grandparents
Our grandparents are the heart of the family. However, finding something unique can be tricky as they have acquired lots over the years. That said, my grandparents have always appreciated the thought, and I usually try to find something useful and thoughtful. Some presents I have given my grandparents are Candles, Decorative crockery/dinnerware, a Vase, and a Massage gun.
In-laws
The In-laws are always hard to buy for. My partner and I usually get them something from both of us, or you can stick to generic gift ideas such as Wine, Perfume, Chocolate and Soap.
Partner
You know your partner best! Just think about what they like, and do not be afraid to ask them for ideas for Christmas gifts.
